“From Elvis Presley and The Doors to the Misfits and Bauhaus, NIM VIND wears his influences like a tattered crown.”
– Gastown Gazette
“If you can imagine an Edward Scissorhands- type character who sings like David Bowie and sounds like a more classic Volbeat, you may have something like NIM VIND. Nim is a real-life Tim Burton movie on a Drive In SaturdayNight. Give it a chance, you’ll like it….and not just because it’s on the radio or your best friend likes it…but because it’s actually good.”
– SaintRocke
Canadian rock n’ roll horrorpunk favorite NIM VIND will release his brand new record, Saturday Night Séance Songs, onOctober 14, 2014 via front man Nim’s own House of Vind label.
Today, NIM VIND is pleased to announce the Alternative Press Magazine premiere of his new track, the 1980’s arena style track ‘Astronomicon’, featuring production and guitar work by legendary musician Todd Rundgren. Rundgren, the writer of such monumental hits as ‘Hello It’s Me’ and ‘Bang The Drum All Day’, is well known for being at the cutting edge throughout his career.

From producing Meatloaf to great success (when nobody else would), to building his own machines to make his own videos in (at a time when nobody else could), to playing in Ringo Starr‘s band (in addition to a mountain of production credits), Rundgren is honing the edge while doing the cutting! After recent productions for Tame Impala and Nine Inch Nails it’s time to cut a hole in the minds of world and stuff it full of NIM VIND.
Earlier last month, premier horror site Bloody-Disgusting.com premiered another new track ‘Master Spider’. Listen here:http://bloody-disgusting.com/

NIM VIND invites the listener’s mind into his dark and stormy world with Saturday Night Séance Songs. Throwback guitar riffs coupled with in-the-pocket pounding drum beats highlight sickening bass grooves, skillfully driven by Vind’s smooth baritone vocals soaked in mentally ill-laden poetry. NIM VIND and his real life band of brothers (drummer Anthony Kilz and bassist Robbie K) were raised by a symphony musician father and CBGB’s first-wave uncles. These influences also inspired Vind’s production choices.
NIM VIND sought out power mixer Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax, Meatloaf, Steel Panther) for Saturday Night Séance Songs, who has taken the NIM VIND signature sound to heightened frenzy. More underground additions to the critical team are Canadian music veteran engineer Doug Fury (Bif Naked) and up-and-coming Anaheim, CA mixer David Irish (sound tech for punk band “X“). In addition, as mentioned above, NIM VIND worked with legendary rock producerTodd Rundgren on the other worldly track ‘Astronomicon’.
NIM VIND’s cult following is steadily anticipating the new release based on his very busy track record. Vind boasts two prior tomes released on independent German labels and a good deal of international touring, as well as stints as the front man of family project and ghoul-core greats Mr. Underhill, which segued into a position as the dreamy bassist with Vans Warped Tour sweethearts The Vincent Black Shadow.
