Lady Lips Now on Display at NYC’s Allouche Gallery

Limited Edition Vinyl Art-Toy Sculpture Sold Out in Just Four Minutes

World-renowned fine art painter and designer Ron English has collaborated with Clutter Studios to create a quintessential work of art in a three-dimensional, life-size sculpture of English’s classic Lady Lips image.

This iconic distillation of the rock and roll lifestyle is one of English’s best-loved and most collected images.“Every few years, I come upon something that just blows up and becomes way bigger than me… Lady Lips is everything that ever needs to be said about Rock and Roll,”English says.

The Clutter team painstakingly worked with their friends at Cubonyc to 3D scan live models, perfecting the sculpt and production over several years to realize this consummate 3D representation of English’s vision.

The Lady Lips life-sized sculpture, which stands at 24” x 33” x 48”, is on display now at the Allouche Gallery in NYC’s historic meatpacking district.

To support the release of the life-size version, English and Clutter have also created a vinyl art-toy sculpture at an affordable price point for collectors. The first colorway of several to be released in the next year, was a metallic purple and red edition standing at 7 inches tall and 10 inches long, consisting of two interlocking lady figures that form the iconic image of the Lady Lips.

Limited to just 50 pieces, signed and hand-numbered, this first edition sold-out in less than five minutes. Additional colorways, including the iconic black with red lips, will be released in 2021.

“We love working with Ron,”say Clutters’Miranda and Josh Kimberg. “The Lady Lips project might be the most in-depth piece we have worked on. Getting the vinyl sculptures and the life-size sculpture just right was of enormous importance to us. We are so proud of how everything turned out, it’s just an extreme honor to be a part of Ron English’s art process and legacy.”

About Ron English:
One of the most prolific and recognizable artists alive today, Ron English has bombed the global landscape with unforgettable images, on the street, in museums, in movies, books, and television. English coined the term POPaganda to describe his signature mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history, populated with his vast and constantly growing arsenal of original characters, including MC Supersized, the obese fast-food mascot featured in the hit movie “Supersize Me,” and Abraham Obama, the fusion of America’s 16th and 44th Presidents, an image widely discussed in the media as directly impacting the 2008 election. Other characters carousing through English’s art, in paintings, billboards, and sculpture include three-eyed rabbits, udderly delicious cowgirls, and grinning skulls, blending stunning visuals with the bitingly humorous undertones of America’s Premier Pop Iconoclast.
