Rising death metal sextet THE CONVALESCENCE recently announced the upcoming release of their debut album, Poison Words, out April 1, 2016 via 3Thirteen Entertainment Group/eOne Music. With an already confirmed SXSW tour set to launch March 13th, the band is revealing additional headline tour dates as part of their “Poison Words Tour”, fueled by COLDCOCK Whiskey andfeaturing support from So This Is Suffering and Beside The Silence. The dates will kick off on April 1st in the band’s hometown of Toledo, OH with an album release show at Realm. See below for all currently confirmed tour dates.

About THE CONVALESCENCE:
THE CONVALESCENCE is a death metal/deathcore band formed in Toledo, OH in 2011 by Keith Wampler (vocals). After several member changes throughout the years, the band is now based all over the country and also includes keyboardist/vocalist Katie McCrimmon (ex Archetyped) from El Paso, TX, guitarist/vocalist Luke Walden (ex Pound For Pound) from Springfield, IL, as well as guitarist John Jones (ex The Weight Of Us), bassist Spencer Kropog and drummer Justin Dubay (Adrift Of River Styx) from Cleveland, OH. THE CONVALESCENCE has toured extensively since forming with bands such as As Blood Runs Black, Rings Of Saturn, Cryptopsy, Ill Nino, Straight Line Stitch, and Motograter. The band has also performed one-off dates with the likes Vital Remains, Mushroomhead, All Shall Perish, Carnifex, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, to name a few. In 2015, THE CONVALESCENCE took their performance to the next level, opening at both their local Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival stop and Dirtfest. In total, the band spent over 100 days on the road in 2014 and 2015, but THE CONVALESCENCE goes global in 2016… stay tuned.
