While most bands were crushed by the devastating impact Covid-19 had on the music industry,DETACHMENTbrushed themselves off and got back to the studio to record their most successful song, “Work Horse“. After releasing their debut EPGaslightin January of 2020, and hitting Top 10 on radio charts with bands such asSuicide Silence,Code Orange, and evenOzzy Osbourne, the future looked bright for the young hardcore band from Long Island NY. Unfortunately, their April tour to promote the EP was cancelled and they were left show-less with nothing to do but write and record.DETACHMENTentered Westfall Studios, home to bands likeMoon ToothandJohnny Boothto record their crushing single, “Work Horse“, a song specifically about overcoming what life throws at you. To date, “Work Horse” has been streamed more than 65,000 times and the previous single, “Counter Charisma“, has had 45,000 streams.
