Following up the smash anthem “The Battle Will Be Won” released February 9th, esteemed intergalactic band Metal Warrior drops their newest single “Scream Love.” The new song commemorates the day singer and guitarist Queen Va’s home planet of Barabartok abolished the so-called Law Against Love.
“I wrote Scream Love to express the intricate dichotomy that exists within a world that allows love to roam free,” expressed Queen Va. “Such an ability to acknowledge, let alone openly express, one’s inner feelings is not without…complexity!” she further explained with her characteristic laugh.
The lyrics weave the line between the giving and receiving of the act. Countless poets in the Five Galaxies, as well as on Earth, have covered the subject over the ages. Interestingly, no conclusions have been reached, though the line “Love lives in rage” might not be an unfamiliar concept to many listeners.
Even though the Law Against Love was officially abolished many centuries ago, there remain those who would protest against the themes of this song. “There are even those in the metal community that would poo-poo this song’s lyrical approach as not metal,” sneered singer and guitarist Pskydin. “I invite those who wish to discuss this to approach me personally. Me, I support Va, and I would posit that it’s wise if you do too. Take it from experience,” he laughed. “Love lives across the galaxies!”

Pskydin is universally adored and respected by his friends, and feared by his enemies, though both camps work hard not to let it show. Having spent significant time on Earth for stretches over many different places and times in history, Pskydin is skilled in (and greatly influenced the development of) both Stoic and Zen philosophies.
Post battle, he greatly enjoys drinking the crushed souls of his enemies.
Torq: Silent but sharply intelligent, the last of the “Great Velutian White Apes” is a spiritual and magical being with mesmerizing drumming abilities. His species is equipped with a separate sub-cortex that control his lower set of arms, such that they work in nearly an unconscious way that can be described partly like FLOW (especially when he is drumming or fighting). This ability allows him to excel at navigation of the band’s spaceship.
He is a peace-loving creature who will defend himself with clinical, deadly force if threatened. His unique Velutian musculature results in a physicality that is both a bit bendy, and explosively powerful.
Quandamm: Quann / Kwon / Qwaan / Quandamm is of unknown gender and the most mysterious and enigmatic of the Metal Warriors. Their Black Blade is even more mysterious, semi-sentient—allowing the group to travel by creating temporal rifts through the very fabric of the Time Space and Dimension Construct (TSDC). A master of the dark arts in addition to being a complete a wizard on the bass.
Queen Va: Va is the leader of a primal planet that revers her as both the greatest and most ruthless warrior ever to swing an axe. She has a vibrational connection to the animal kingdom that allows her empathic communications over great distance with nearly any other creature.
As beautiful as she is skilled with her beloved axe, it is her empathic sensing that makes her the heart of Metal Warrior. Va is able to experience mayhem and death with a unique spiritual joy that is both strange and compelling to those around her.
Post battle, Va is known to erupt with a childlike laughter and glee. Recordings of her laughter are known to strike fear in the hearts of enemies, while emboldening her battle mates.
