Featuring Ex-MINISTRY Keyboardist Darrell James
New Album “Pills” Out Now via WuLi Records
Chicago, IL alt-electronic hard rock group POUND OF FLESH (featuring former Ministry keyboardist Darrell James) recently released their latest album Pills via WuLi Records and INgrooves Music Group. Today, the band is releasing their brand new music video for the track “Everybody”, directed and edited by POF keyboardist Steve McIntosh and filmed by Beth Hollander and Elizabeth Fraiberg from e3Photography. Watch the video here, exclusively via Bloody-Disgusting.com: http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3347225/exclusive-pound-flesh-everybody-music-video-premiere/
Vocalist Darrell James states, “The video is about being over everyone’s bullshit and self-serving attitudes. The last straw was drawn—sending people to release their anger and frustration in confession and therapy only to find more of the same.”
James adds, “The little girl framing the video is a running nod to youth—innocence, curiosity, impulsiveness, playfulness, and raw emotions. She’s not meant to be anyone in particular—just a reminder of how we change and how we stay the same.”
This is the second single and video from Pills, the first being “One Time Offer”, which also features a video put together by the same team. Watch here: https://youtu.be/53ViP_p4whs
Pills can be ordered here via iTunes or via http://www.pound-of-flesh.com/music. Mixing an intense and raw electronic sound with heavy, clean production, Pills is both a great follow-up to 2012’s singular counterpart Pill, as well as a perfect introduction to POF’s sound for new fans. Recorded last year at Paragon and Drakeraven studios in Chicago, the album was produced by POF vocalist and lead programmer Darrell James (formerly of Ministry and Revolting Cocks) and keyboardist Steven McIntosh, and was mastered by Doug McBride at Gravity Studios in Chicago.

ABOUT POUND OF FLESH:
While touring regionally in support of Red & Black, frontman Darrell James was introduced to the legendary Al Jourgenson of Ministry. James was invited by Jourgenson to play keyboards during Ministry’s 2003 “Fornicatour.” Darrell agreed, and was subsequently asked to stay on for their 2004 “Evil Doer” tour. Additionally, Darrell’s keyboard and programming work can be heard on Ministry’s Rantology and Rio Grande Blood as well as the Revolting Cocks’ Cocked and Loaded.
In 2008, Darrell started collaborating with keyboardist Steven McIntosh on new material. After perfecting their sound and recruiting the rest of the current incarnation of the band, POF released their aforementioned 2012 album Pill. This marked the launch of what now exists as POUND OF FLESH.
