SCYTHIA and HeavyBlogisHeavy Announce the “Most Metal Couple” Valentine’s Day Photo Contest

Win a Signed Copy of “…Of Conquest” and a Pair of True Viking Drinking Horns! How Romantic!

New Album ‘… Of Conquest’ Hits Stores on February 25th

“Just a few weeks into 2014 and we already have an album that’s sure to reach some Top 10 lists by year’s end. …Of Conquest is simply spectacular.” – Pittsburgh Music Magazine

“Grab a mug of your finest ale and sit down and listen to these musical barbarians! You’ll be entirely glad you did! “…Of Conquest” is another great album that kick starts 2014 and blasts down all expectations!” – HeadbangorGTFO.com

“‘…Of Conquest’ is the band’s third full-length in unsigned-band-ville, yet it’s of the utmost sonic quality… if the Alestorm/Swashbuckle crew latches on to these Canucks, they shouldn’t remain an unsigned being for long.” – DeadRhetoric.com

Who says metal heads can’t be romantic? Canadian medieval metallers SCYTHIA and HeavyBlogisHeavy are teaming up today to bring you a very romantic photo contest for your Valentine’s Day week! If you and your sweetie are the most metal couple you know, and you think you can out-metal every lovebird in the land, then this is a contest for you! Plus, if you take the cake (or… chocolate covered strawberries…) you’ll win a pair of REAL drinking horns and a signed copy of …Of Conquest, courtesy of SCYTHIA!

That’s right! After weeks of tirelessly enduring a mighty tavern crawl and trekking through the deep tundra, SCYTHIA is ready to relax and enjoy Valentine’s Day before leaving again for tour. The band wants to see pictures of the most metal couples decked out in their best garb, striking their finest poses. Bonus points for costumes of a “medieval” nature! Send these pics to SCYTHIA via their Facebook page by February 14th and you could win the special prize pack mentioned above!

Single, you say? No problem! Think of a funny prop like a guitar, a broadsword or a neighbour and shoot the photo. Credit will be given for originality.

Now, a little bit more on those special drinking horns… “These horns are very special indeed.  These are genuine grade A, cow-horn drinking horns,” states guitarist/lead vocalist David Khan. “They have been procured from a burly Nordic merchant who goes by the name Ragnar. He wears chainmail to metal shows and his giant red beard flows majestically past his mid-section. Not to mention his penchant for fine ale and exotic wares.  These horns are a hot-commodity and this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win not one but two!”

Head to HeavyblogisHeavy.com right now to read more about the contest.
