Tomorrow, at The Legendary JC Dobbs in Philadelphia, PA, Nicko McBrain of IRON MAIDEN will host SAVFEST USA – a music festival scheduled to support a great charity, Ian’s Chain, which was founded by English DJ Alan Savill after his son Ian committed suicide last year. The charity benefits people who are suffering from depression and are suicidal.
Each band performing is donating their time for this cause. Band’s performing include BlackOcean, Citadel, Anvil Bitch, Decypher, Meatplow, Slander, Faith-Fear, Evil Reign and Bone Devil. The show will run from 7:00 p.m. until about11:30 p.m. 21+, tix are $20.
All of the money raised goes to Ian’s Chain. A portion of the money will go overseas with Alan, which he plans to use to purchase a motorhome where people suffering from depression can take vacations with their families and escape. The local event organizers plan to give an additional portion of funds raised to Philadelphia-area suicide prevention groups.
There will be an auction with exclusive items, and there will also be event t-shirts for sale.
