Formed in 2005, Portland, Maine natives RUIN have made a name for themselves in the U.S. Northeast and beyond, developing their own original brand of metal with influences in thrash and groove. RUIN‘s latest release, Rite of Passage, hit the shelves last October and made a strong impact. This September, the four-piece is set to take their distinguished no-holds-barred thrash/groove metal sound – reminiscent of bands such as Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory – on the road in the eastern U.S.!
RUIN is thrilled to announce their upcoming “Rite Of Passage Tour” 2016, kicking off in Boston, MA on September 7th. The tour will hit several major cities, coming to an end in Rochester, NY on September 16th. Tickets are available via the venues online and in person. About RUIN:
From their reflective and compelling lyrical content to their devastating musical precision, RUIN is a force of nature. They deviate from current convention by producing a bold, stripped down American metal sound that cuts across styles and stands alone. RUIN was founded by brothers Rich and Craig Carey (who perform vocals/guitars and drums, respectively), who were later joined by guitarist Kevin Whitman and bassist Todd Bidwell, rounding out the current line-up. RUIN has released three full length albums independently: Hands of Enmity in 2007, Human Moral Deception in 2009, and of course, Rite of Passage. To date, RUIN has supported reputable metal artists such as Strapping Young Lad, Stuck Mojo, Goatwhore and Fear Factory.
