After signing with Spectra Music Group in October 2015, Nathan King recorded his album in Nashville with Jake Jones and Justin Forshaw (of Atlantic Records hard hitters We As Human) and mastering engineer Robert Venable (Neal McCoy, Scott Stapp, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Megadeth, etc.). Former Universal/Republic recording artist Greg Bates was featured on guitar in his track “This Fall Weather” and on vocals in “Scars Heal”. Pedal Steel guitarist Kyle Everson (Joe Nichols, Martina McBride) was featured on his tracks “Movin On” and “Stay With Me”.
Engineer Robert Venable states, “I’ve heard it all. I’ve worked with tons of artists in many different genres, and it’s refreshing to hear an artist like Nathan come through the studio monitors. It’s fresh, honest, and catchy – a combination that I don’t hear nearly enough of. From the ground up, his new album was done right. Since recording, Nathan King has opened for Colt Ford, Justin Moore and Brantley Gilbert, and is preparing for the 2017 concert season.
