“I was born and raised a Jehovah Witness. Growing up I didn’t have many friends. I never celebrated holidays and the experience was overall very isolating.
The environment was very controlling and gave me no room for self-expression or my own thoughts. I wrote this song for anyone who has been raised in cults and extreme religious households. Who also have felt brainwashed, lied to and alone. Jehovah Witnesses, Scientology and a lot of extreme religions/cults have “disfellowship” policies that leave people without any contact with their family and loved ones. Because they weren’t allowed to associate with the ‘world’ in the first place. So when they leave, a lot of people feel even more alone than they did while they were in it. Know that you are not alone. It’s hard to leave, but if that’s the right choice for you, there are many people who will show you what unconditional love actually is.” – Bam Fatale

This young eccentric artist recently moved to Atlanta for bigger music opportunities and a chance to create a larger impact with her music. With no current niche genre, Bam keeps her volume of work genreless and fluid, making whatever is in her spirit to make.
She says her influences are everything and anything she’s ever heard. Ever since childhood, Bam had to endure a very controlling and harsh upbringing that would later influence her style and music. Bam started performing in school plays and local theater since elementary school where she has always felt most comfortable on a stage.
Learning violin at an early age helped her love all music early on. Always looking at life with a unique lens and perspective she is extremely grateful and thankful for her past. She believes that this allows her to be aware of things most people don’t notice or consider. She shares her experiences through music and hopes to encourage others to be themselves and create a space where ALL are welcome.
